All government schools in Victoria have a school council. They are legally constituted bodies that are given powers to set the key directions of a school within state-wide guidelines. In doing this, a school council is able to directly influence the quality of education that the school provides for its students.
School Council elections are now due for Epsom Primary School. Please read the attached information regarding membership and role of the school council and also find attached the timeline and nomination forms.
An election is to be conducted for members of the School Council of Epsom Primary School.
The key dates are:
Nomination forms may be obtained from the school/website/electronic newsletter and must be lodged by 4.00pm on Monday 21st February 2019.
Following the closing of nominations a list of the nominations received will be posted at the school.
Ballot papers, if required, will be sent home with students on 4th of March 2019. Voting will close at 4.00pm on Tuesday 7 March. Ballot papers will also be available at the school office.
We have four (4) Parent member vacancies for the 2019 Epsom School Council and two (2) DET employee member vacancies.
